(ZANIS) The Poultry Association of Zambia -PAZ- says prices of feed for poultry have started reducing because the Kwacha has gained stability in the last two months.

PAZ Executive Director, Dominic Chanda says the increase in feed prices is determined by the valuation of the currency hence affecting the price of soya cake for animal feed which is quoted in dollars.

In an interview, Mr. Chanda also said the poultry sector in Zambia, has witnessed a rapid growth triggering increased investments and competition which is benefiting consumers.

He further noted that despite this growth, the sector has faced challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
